Mary Jo Thompson is Certified in Clinical Massage Therapy and graduated from the Blue
Heron Academy of Healing Arts & Sciences in Grand Rapids MI. She graduated in July of 1998. While attending Blue Heron, she was the proud recipient of the "Academic and Professionalism Award." Mary Jo is also a member of the American Massage Council .
Her nimble fingers tends to aching muscles with a series of clinically precise massage
techniques. The relaxation for massage's long, flowing strokes work through tightened muscles as gentle kneading motions untie shoulders. Therapeutic Massage targets specific areas of soreness and employs deliberate manipulations to alleviate aches and pains.
Contrary to belief, massage therapy isn't just for the rich and famous anymore.
Stress is the number on disorder people suffer from. For most of us, the responsibility of our family life and increased demands at work make us feel tired and worn out. This leaves very little time for us to relax and take care of ourselves.
Mary works in Grand Rapids MI in the Cascade/Ada area and enjoys a busy practice for 14 years. She is certified in Michigan and California.
She has many techniques: Hot Stone Massage, Swedish, Deep Tissue, Aromatherapy, Essential Oil Treatments, Gentle Pregnancy Massage to name a few.
Mary works also with Reiki, energy balancing. She is a Reiki Master/Teacher. She started
this work in 2000.
She enjoys singing and has been on stage with the Grand Rapids Sweet Adelines International and the Grand Rapids Community Chorus.
